This recently painted 28mm unit represents 5th century Goths. I have used a mix of figures, mostly from late Roman, Saxon and Roman-British ranges.
The Goths, like most Germanic peoples of this time wore their hair long but were clean shaven, although some may have sported a moustache -- in contrast to the hairy, bearded miniatures marketed as Goths or Germans from most manufacturer's ranges.
The shield patterns are based on Arian Christian symbols and late Roman designs.
