I have been absent from both the Wargames and Painting tables for some time due to a variety of factors, one of which was a holiday in Sicily. There is probably no better place than Sicily to combine my great passions -- history and good food.
The incredible Greek temples at Agrigento are amongst the best preserved anywhere. In the foreground is the appropriately fallen statue of Icarus.

Delicious seafood is ubiquitous -- especially good washed down with a glass or two of wine from the slopes of Mt. Etna.
Fans of Inspector Montalbano will recognise his house which is now a B&B where we stayed in Punta Secca.
