I went over to Gary's last weekend to do a trial set up for the Blenheim game we are runninng in September. Using Dave Allen's excellent maps we tested the layout on Gary's new folding tables which will give us an 18 x 5 foot playing area.
All looks like it will work well although we will need some more streams to represent the Nebel and its tributaries.
Then there was still time for a quick game - Guilford Courthouse in 28mm
The rusult was very much like the historical battle. Playing the British I managed to sweep awaythe first two lines of American Rebels but it was very hard going and I suffered heavy casualties in the process.
The light infantry were particularly badly mauled and Tarelton was mortally wounded while trying to rally them
