Ernie Fosker, who commanded the Romans in the Daras Battle has kindly provided some more photos and better ones that I used in the previous post.

Thanks Simon for posting the photos and Ernie for taking them. It was a good follow on from the previous posts and it explained the action in further detail. Those Persian light cavalry appear to be quite effective in the game and felt sorry for Ernie losing Hermogones. Did the Persian light cavalry kill him through archery ?
The attack with the light Persian horse and heavier Persian horse looked very impressive. Did the Roman Foedarti shock cavalry come into action ? Finally the attack by Hermogenes Bucellari was very brave and did they take out any Persians ?

Thanks for an interesting battle report as it has inspired me to start working on this scenario.
Best wishes
Tim

Hi Tim. Poor old Hermogones was indeed hit by arrows. His bucellarii were in a pretty bad state when they charged out to avenge him and did little damage to the Persians. Shaken from archery and seeing Hermogones fall, the foederati broke on contact.
Cheers
Simon
